Cafe Hochenleitner in Oberammergau

I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars Huge selection of cakes - and they're not very sweet so that's a big plus. Coffee vet tasty as well. The lady at the counter was extremely friendly. It's a pity we couldn't sit inside because of lockdown. I'll definitely come back once the lockdown restrictions are lifted. Kudos to this place!

Very cozy cafe in Oberammergau with very nice and friendly service

Fantastic apartment with very warm hosts. We can really only recommend the apartment. The view from the balcony is fantastic! There is a lot to do in the area. Our highlight was the hike to the Zugspitze. But we were also in the Höllentalklamm and spent a day at Neuschwanstein Castle. Great starting point for all kinds of activities if you have the car with you. The café is also great, the cakes are homemade and taste great.

1 A cake. The cheese cream cake with raspberries is a dream. The plum dachi is also very fine and even so sugared. I can only recommend this cafe. The iced coffee was also very good. We were 5 days in Oberammergau and 3 times in the Cafe Hohenleitner. The boss and his 3 children work as confectioners in the cafe. All have the master's examination.

We had a nice stay in the offered apartment, the hosts were extremely friendly and the accommodation was flawless. In addition, the delicious smell of the pastry shop and the great view from the balcony ❤️

Great cake and coffee

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the good reviews. We wanted to eat something on Saturday and were consequently ignored and overlooked, always had to ask several times. In between thought about calling to let them know what we want. I hope it’s just because there’s a lack of service staff. Unfortunately, the young lady was not particularly capable, and the older lady had her hands full handling the service on her own.

This should be your favorite place for coffee and cake in Oberammergau. Delicious cakes, strudel and pies. Coffee, soft drinks, beer, wine and icecream. If you missed lunch, ask for gulash soup. Nice terrace and free parking.
